Sweeney Miller Law seeks to recruit a motivated Conveyancing Assistant for our Sunderland office. You will have great customer service skills, and like to work in a forward-thinking property law environment. You will be part of the team supporting customers through their initial journey in house buying and selling whilst working with conveyancers to provide a better home moving experience for all.
We are inviting applications from both experienced Conveyancing Assistants as well as Graduates.
Role to include:
• Full assistance and support to a Conveyancer on all transactional matters
• Liaise with clients and third parties
• Maintaining case management system and progressing milestones
• Issuing Sale Contract Packs
• Preparing Sale Report
• Obtaining redemption statements, preparing draft Completion Statements and invoices
• Undertaking relevant searches
• Preparing Transfer Deeds, SDLT and tenancy declarations
• Preparing completion packs and attending to calls to clients and third parties
• Handling Conveyancer phone calls and visitors when Conveyancer is not available
• Any other paralegal and administrative duties as required
• Dealing with other administrative duties as identified from time to time to facilitate the accuracy and speed of the transaction
You will have:
• Excellent customer service and organisational skills
• Excellent telephone manner
• Ability to work under pressure
• A good standard of English and Maths
• A good knowledge of the conveyancing process
• Good attention to detail
This is a full-time position.
Graduates must have a minimum of 2:1 degree.
Suitable progression opportunities are available for the right candidates. Full onsite training to be provided under our bespoke ‘academy style’ training programme.
