Reporting into the Head of Risk and Compliance, our newly formed Business Acceptance team is the next step in driving our risk and compliance culture.

This is a new team, and we have 2 roles available. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference.

The role

Given that these are new roles, it is likely that the remit will adapt as the team grows; however, the initial responsibilities will be to:

– conduct research on clients, and undertake all Client Due Diligence (CDD) checks in line with the money laundering regulations;
– advise partners and fee earners on specific CDD requirements and risk issues relating to anti-money laundering and CDD;
– assess the risk profile of new and existing clients and respective matters; escalating issues appropriately; and
– other Business Acceptance and onboarding duties, as required.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for candidates with experience within a regulated environment (ideally legal) of conducting CDD checks, and who are familiar with the Money Laundering Regulations 2017 (as amended) and the SRA’s rules regarding risk and compliance.
